Te Whare Whakapapa Raranga.

At the break of dawn, on the 6th October 2019, Mike Kawana Rangatira of Rangitāne & Mikaere Paki also a Rangatira, performed a Whakawatea. The process is about clearing the old to make space for new purpose and beginnings. What was once a golf course is now a whare that we will use for: education of Reo, Raranga, Whakairo, and Te Taiao. It will also be a native plant nursery that will educate our people and create work opportunities.

The name of the Whare is:

'Te Whare Whakapapa Raranga'.
